Andrea Trinidad-Echavez

Andrea started PR Consultancy equipped with rich experiences in journalism, advocacy work and marketing. Having worked with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the country's No. 1 newspaper, for over nine years, she has gathered extensive skills in news coverage and knows by heart the kind of stories that "sell" to editors -- an edge very few practitioners like her possess.

After Inquirer, Andrea joined the NGO group Policy Review and Editorial Services (PRESS) as program officer handling editorial services. Aside from crafting and implementing strategic campaigns for PRESS’ NGO clients, she also served as resource person in Media Trainings.

In 2003, she started doing independent PR consultancy for global corporations Converse, Avia USA and The Nielsen Company (ACNielsen/Nielsen Media Research), insurance company Prudentialife’s Millionaires in Business project and consumer advocacy group Nasecore.

Her consultancy work has since expanded to include a wide array of sectors -- from humanitarian organizations (UNICEF, Operation Compassion, Purpose Driven Ministries) to consumer brands (Lady's Choice, Knorr & CloseUp) to trade organizations (Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines and Christmas Decor Producers & Exporters Association of the Philippines). She also handled media relations and publicity work for globally-renowned personalities like Rick Warren (Purpose Driven Congress, 2006), John Maxwell (John Maxwell Live in Manila, 2004), Drayton Bird (Direct Marketing Conference, 2005), Francis Kong (Achievers & Leaders Seminar, 2006), Al Ries (Al Ries Live in Manila, 2005), to name a few.

At present, she does consultancy work for USAID's Philippine Sanitation Alliance as promotions specialist for behavior change programs on water and sanitation.
Despite her busy schedule, Andrea finds time to volunteer in some worthy causes. She volunteers for Operation Compassion, a developmental NGO involved in disaster management and rehabilitation.

On her spare time, she teaches street children in Luneta and joins Medical Missions in provinces. She also started a campaign called Aklat Para sa Lahat, a campaign to revive love for reading by establishing public libraries in far-flung baranggays all over the country.
